Unfortunately, last week I lost the referral (long story and not lots of answers). This has been beyond devastating to me. I cannot even put into words my feelings and emotions. This by far has been the hardest thing I have ever dealt with in life. I just recently "found" your blog and would love to continue following your journey. Our agency has had some other complications in-country and so our dossier has been logged for well over a year now. Perhaps that has made the blow softer for us. Although, just a month ago I felt the same way as Mer. I think that many of the agencies that don't work with singles have connections to religious groups that define marriage as one man and one woman. They fear that you may a have a partner that could help you provide a loving home to a child. Instead of an "don't ask, don't tell" policy they simply choose not to talk to you. My 2 cents. Of course it won't be true for all agencies.
